The existing brick shell will be preserved along with the classically ornamented cornice. The added front porch will be demolished to open the front yard for a new inviting garden.
A slender tall window aligns with the vertical stair to each apartment. The new construction will be white brick in order to delineate when the existing structure meets the new.
Each unit has a large expansive balcony to soak in the natural landscapes of Newburgh, New York. On either side are newly constructed buttresses with square cutouts to allow light and air from all sides.
